Description
The view of Lübeck from the Petri Tower: a view you won't forget.
The old town with St. Mary's, the town hall and the other brick churches, the Holsten Gate, the excursion boats on the Trave, the gables of the houses in the Große Petersgrube. All around is the new, modern Lübeck. And in good weather: the large hotels on the Baltic coast, Mecklenburg and the hills in the Holstein region.
The permanent exhibition "Built Vision - From the Heavenly Jerusalem to the Zero Point of Religion" combines the history of building culture and faith in Lübeck in a multi-dimensional arrangement. Lübeck at the time of the Hanseatic League, during the Reformation and the Enlightenment, during the war and during reconstruction - the exhibition in the Marientidenkapelle tells the story of all this. And it shows how St. Peter's became what it is today: a church at the zero point of religion.
