Description
Detailed description
In Lübeck's St. Annen Museum and Kunsthalle St. Annen, guests can experience modern and historical exhibition rooms, courtyards, gardens and the late Gothic cloister from 1512. Lübeck's history is presented in its entirety. There are cultural treasures of immeasurable value to discover, such as the unique collection of sacred works of art on display in the authentic location of the former monastery. The upper floor of the 500-year-old St. Anne's Monastery offers a series of 25 exhibition rooms that provide an exemplary experience of the furniture people surrounded themselves with in the Middle Ages, how they decorated their living rooms and set their tables, how they dressed, how they celebrated and the values and norms of living together in everyday life.
Changing exhibitions round off the museum's program and the museum's digital offerings are also constantly being expanded.
With the opening of the children's art gallery as part of the "Hello Lübeck" exhibition, the Kunsthalle St. Annen is focusing on young people. It will be an integral part of all future exhibitions. The exhibition offers children and young people a great opportunity to experience art in a sensory way.
