Description
Nostalgia around the St. Lawrence Church
Detailed description
The picturesque old town of Travemünde tells the eventful history of the small fishing village before it became a sophisticated seaside resort. As early as the Middle Ages, the heart of the town was St. Lawrence's Church, around which fishermen and craftsmen settled. Today, you can still find quaint, lovingly restored half-timbered houses and old gabled brick facades lined up like a string of pearls on the Old Market Square. The oldest fisherman's house dates from the second half of the 16th century and is located at Jahrmarktstraße 13.
