CLIMATE-FRIENDLY MOBILITY: JOB TICKET
EUROPEAN HANSEMUSEUM
The European Hansemuseum (EHM) is actively engaged in reducing its carbon footprint in the area of transport. One important step in this process is the introduction of job tickets for employees. In collaboration with NAH.SH, a subsidy is granted which facilitates very affordable use of public transport for the daily commute and business travel. The job ticket makes the journey to and from work as well as business trips more environmentally-friendly and relaxed. The EHM is showing that it is aware of its responsibility as a public institution and playing an active role in finding solutions for a sustainable future.
The European Hansemuseum is known as the leading museum in the world on the history of the Hanseatic League. It was the first German museum to join the “Museums for Future” network to put greater emphasis on sustainability in museums. Director Felicia Sternfeld stresses the responsibility of public institutions to play an active role in social solutions.
