This interactive installation allows you to use AI to create your own personalised images of a shared digital and cultural future. Your vision will be printed on the spot—a unique greeting from the near future, just for you.

The DREAMmachine bridges technology and human connection, reflecting the Fehmarn Belt Tunnel as a symbol of unity and bringing cultural exchange to life. Come and take part—help shape the future and be part of a cross-border experience!

  • The Fehmarnbelt Days are not just about sights and sounds—they’re also a treat for the taste buds! At Madens Folkemøde, the renowned Danish food festival, North German cuisine meets Scandinavian specialities, creating a unique cross-border culinary experience.

Together with Lübeck’s The Newport, this collaboration brings you signature dishes and drinks that blend the best of German and Danish flavours.

A special highlight: a live cooking event featuring Lisa Knittel (Ostseereport, NDR) and Volker Fuhrwerk (NDR chef). Watch as fresh ingredients are transformed into authentic Fehmarnbelt specialities—a true taste of the region!

  • Around 200 students from the Baltic School Lübeck, Næstved and Kœge grammar schools are taking part in the Fehmarnbelt Days. Under the motto My World Fehmarnbelt, the youth ambassadors will report and interview interesting personalities.

The Interreg Education Region project will also create an impressive installation: a container will be transformed into a walk-in tunnel element - an artistic homage to the connection between Germany and Denmark. The Lübeck Technology Centre, the Friedrich List School and the Emil Possehl School will also be contributing their creative ideas.

  • The radio amateurs of the DARC (Deutscher Amateur Radio Club e.V.) will have their own stand and will present the international amateur radio service throughout the event.

They will establish national and worldwide radio links and spread the reputation of the beautiful Hanseatic city of Lübeck throughout the world.

As a souvenir of these contacts, the radio amateurs will receive a QSL card with a unique motif of Lübeck.

Radio amateurs visiting the DARC stand as guests are welcome to bring their own QSL card and pin it on a large pinboard.

Visitors to the Fehmarnbelt Days will also be able to obtain an internationally recognised amateur radio licence and become active in a hobby that brings people together. This includes, for example, training courses on the necessary technical knowledge, regulations and operating techniques. For young people in particular, amateur radio is a welcome door-opener to technical studies or training.

Children and young people are taught the basics of Morse telegraphy and are awarded a Morse diploma in a very simple examination.
