There’s no question that art is very important to us here in Lübeck, we can never get enough! As a city of culture, we have an incredible range of museums, galleries, studios and artists in a very small area. Whilst viewing art is one thing, creating it yourself is another! There are a number of opportunities throughout the festival to become an artist. But don’t forget, art comes in many forms, not just painting hung on walls!
Hats and Dresses Sales Exhibition and Fashion Show
Fri-Sun, 11am-6pm - Mengstraße 17, courtyard
Clothes make the man, and hats certainly do! This sales exhibition is a joint venture between Atelier Elfenfels, Katja Lux-Hutdesign and the Maßlos tailoring studio. A catwalk through the whole neighbourhood starts on Saturday at 2pm.
Electric painting
Sat, 11am-7 pm - Market, An der Untertrave
Electrifying art! The association AGIL Antigraffiti Initiative e.V. Lübeck will paint two electricity boxes in front of the public. Using the airbrush technique, the electricity boxes become absolute eye-catchers.
Gallery per-seh
Fri-Sun - Fischstraße 21
At per-seh, art can do many things: it can surprise, disturb, stimulate, provoke and touch. Gallery owners Sabrina and Frank Buchholz look forward to your visit. Contemporary works of art by German and European artists, unique pieces of painting, graphics and sculpture await you.
