The old saying, “You can’t please everyone”, is just as true today as it ever was.
The historical rooms in this listed buildings alone are worth a visit: Murals and ship models, maritime mementos and large chandeliers adorn the interior. In the large hall, guests today sit on benches at long tables just like the old days. The captain’s table is raised somewhat. From here, the captains always had a good view of things and were also able to engage in undisturbed discussion behind a folding partition. The time-honoured restaurant offers real culinary diversity stretching from burgers, traditional labskaus to Southern grilled steak. In summer this also includes the idyllic Seafarers’ Garden with a view of the spire of St. Jacob’s church.
