Klassik Altstadt Hotel

Lübeck

An unforgettable stay: 700 years of history meets sustainability

A unique stay at the Klassik Altstadt Hotel with over 700 years of history. It was first used as a bathhouse in 1299 and then as an anchor smithy in the 19th century. Today, it not only boasts a late-Classical façade, but also many historic details, such as the old Gotland tiles in the entrance area and the historic Hanseatic monastery tiles in the breakfast room.

The story of the current owner, who took over the hotel from her mother at the age of 22 and redesigned it as a boutique hotel in a classic-romantic style, adds a touch of romance. Each room is individually designed and has its own charm. The double rooms and maisonette suite are dedicated to famous Lübeck personalities.

The Klassik Altstadt Hotel is also actively committed to sustainability. The installation of water-saving shower heads in all bathrooms promotes the responsible use of water. In addition, 60 per cent of the food at the breakfast buffet is sourced from regional suppliers to support the local economy. For many years, the Old Town Hall has been renovated exclusively by local contractors in order to preserve its original condition and meet heritage requirements.
