TOURIST INFORMATION LÜBECK
LÜBECK UND TRAVEMÜNDE MARKETING GMBH (LTM)
A growing range of sustainable gift articles are purposefully offered in the Tourist Information Office. Alliances have been formed with Wunderle and Stadtgärtner. There is a souvenir line with Vorwerker Diakonie and the in-house souvenir articles in new design are exclusively locally produced or from certified suppliers (e.g. GOTS-certified shirts printed in Lübeck, lunch boxes, insulated soup containers and thermos flasks from Pure & Green).
“GOTS-certified” means that a product has been made in accordance with the standards of the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and certified by an independent body. GOTS is a globally recognised label for textiles that makes strict demands of the entire production chain from raw material extraction to the labelling of the finished product. The requirements include avoiding toxic, harmful chemicals, using organically cultivated fibres and social criteria such as fair wages and working conditions as well as environmentally-friendly production.
In 2030, our guests will experience Lübeck and Travemünde as two climate-friendly travel destinations, each with its own profile: Lübeck is the culture city and Travemünde the seaside resort on the Baltic Sea. The quality of life in Lübeck and Travemünde is equally high in both towns. We treat each other and our natural resources with respect. (Tourism Development Concept Lübeck and Travemünde 2030).
